GIS-Applications (Geographical Information Systems)

Unix is predestined as server for GIS-applications. We have a long experience in planning and developement of GIS solutions and in deployment of ESRI- and Open-Source GIS-software.

Some examples:

Immo Plattform Real Estate Platform
On the base of OpenLayers and Ruby on Rails, a real estate platform was developed which dramatically eases the search for object specific data and information.
Due to comprehensive filter tools and sophisticated display of statistical information, the customers of this application can be provided with highly densed data.
Technology: Ruby on Rails, OpenLayers, UMN Mapserver, PostGIS

Chameleon Digit Digitizing via Browser
On the base of Chameleon, a comprehensive Web Mapping Application and PostGIS as Geodatabase several extensions for the online data-input via browser were developed.
Points, lines and polygons can be entered directly in the browser. The data gets stored in the geodatabase.
Technologies: UMN Mapserver, Chameleon, PostGIS

GIS-Applikationsframework GIS-Application framework for environmental hazards
Based on Java-technology with several Open-Source libraries a comprehensive GIS-service-infrastructure with ArcIMS and ArcSDE was developed for in-house applications.
example
Technologies: Solaris, Windows, Oracle, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, Java, XSLT

GIS-Knoppix Open-Source GIS-CD
In collaboration with the Center for integrated Geo-Information-Systems of the Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil a live Linux-CD with a lot of already installed Open-Source GIS Software was produced.
