Mapfish Ruby on Rails server

Mapfish is mapping application framework based on OpenLayers for the mapping part, and on ExtJS for the GUI (widgets) part.

The server part in version 1.0 is available as Java and Python implementation. We contributed recently an additional server implementation written as a Ruby on Rails plugin.

MapLayers makes it easy to integrate a dynamic map in a Rails application. It can display map tiles and markers loaded from many different data sources. The included map viewer is OpenLayers. With MapLayers you can display and publish ActiveRecord models with geographic data.
